A Boston woman is under investigation for allegedly using falsified documents to impersonate a teenager and enroll in multiple Boston high schools during the 2022-2023 academic year. Boston Public Schools District Superintendent Mary Skipper expressed deep concern over the incident, describing it as a case of "extremely sophisticated fraud."
The woman reportedly used fraudulent paperwork and the transfer process to gain entry into Jeremiah E. Burke High School, Brighton High School, and English High School. Her scheme began to unravel at English High School when administrators grew suspicious during a routine review of her documents.

The alleged deception came to light after the woman's supposed parent informed English High School they would be withdrawing their "daughter" due to bullying concerns, intending to enroll her in St. Columbine school. This raised red flags because the woman had only been at the school for a short time, and staff hadn't had a chance to address the purported bullying.

During the subsequent review, an administrator discovered an inconsistency on one of the student's Department of Children and Families (DCF) forms. Upon contacting DCF, school officials were informed that no social worker with the name on the form was employed by the agency. This discovery prompted school officials to alert the Boston Police Department.
Boston Police are currently investigating the situation and have issued a stay-away order, barring the woman from all Boston public school properties. While it remains unclear whether charges will be filed, Superintendent Skipper assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and that school officials have not identified any incidents of harm to students or staff. Families of students who may have interacted with the woman are being contacted directly by school staff and investigators.
